Settings Property

Shortcut to the HTTP/3 SETTINGS the server advertises, equivalent to H3Settings.Settings.

Syntax

property Settings: TsgcHTTP3Settings read GetSettings;

Type

TsgcHTTP3Settings

Default

— (a sub-object created with the component; it returns the very same instance as H3Settings.Settings)

Remarks

Settings is a convenience accessor that returns H3Settings.Settings. Both paths reach the same TsgcHTTP3Settings instance, so Server.Settings.EnableConnectProtocol := True and Server.H3Settings.Settings.EnableConnectProtocol := True do exactly the same thing. It exists to keep protocol-level code short, for example when toggling Extended CONNECT (RFC 9220) advertising.

The property is read-only, which refers to the reference and not to the object: you cannot replace the settings object through Settings, but the members of the object it returns are writable. Use H3Settings to assign a whole settings object at once, and see that page for the meaning and defaults of every member.

Settings is a public property rather than a published one, so it does not appear in the Object Inspector at design time and is not streamed to the form file. Configure the server from the Object Inspector through H3Settings, and use Settings from code.

Like every SETTINGS value, the members are read when a connection is established and sent in the server's control-stream SETTINGS frame. Changing them affects new connections only, so set them before Start.

This member is currently available in the Delphi/C++Builder implementation only. In .NET the same settings object is reached through H3Settings.Settings.

Example

// advertise SETTINGS_ENABLE_CONNECT_PROTOCOL so clients may use Extended CONNECT
oServer.Settings.EnableConnectProtocol := True;
oServer.Settings.MaxFieldSectionSize := 65536;
oServer.Start;
