Version reports the sgcWebSockets library version and is read-only: it has no setter and any attempt to assign it will not compile. It is inherited from the common component base class and shows in the Object Inspector at design time, which makes it a quick way to confirm which build of the library the IDE has loaded.
The value describes the library, not the QUIC protocol version negotiated with the server. QUIC version negotiation is handled by the transport itself and is not surfaced as a property.
