For teams choosing a data grid for Delphi, C++Builder and .NET applications. This page sets sgcGrid next to five commercial grids: DevExpress ExpressQuantumGrid for VCL and TMS FNC DataGrid on the Delphi side, and the DevExpress, Telerik and Syncfusion data grids for WinForms and WPF. Every cell of the other products comes from the vendor's public documentation, checked in November 2026, and each product links to the pages we read.
CAPABILITY MATRIX
Seventeen capabilities, six grids
Select a product name to see the vendor pages behind its column. On a phone, scroll the table sideways: the capability column stays in place.
Yes: the documentation shows it~Partial: a limited form, described in a few wordsNot documented: the vendor documentation we checked does not list it
TDataSet, ItemsSource, keyed unbound rows and virtual mode
Server mode
SQL for 8 dialects and server side GROUP BY through FireDAC, ADO, dbExpress, IBX, Zeos or UniDAC, measured on tables of 1,000,000 and 10,000,000 rows

The sgcGrid column describes sgcGrid in November 2026. Some capabilities need the Registered edition, see where sgcGrid is included. Prices and licensing terms are not compared.
DIFFERENCES
Where sgcGrid differs
Live feed connectors
TsgcGridFeedSource_WebSocket, TsgcGridFeedSource_MQTT and TsgcGridFeedSource_SSE write JSON messages into the grid by key, and an alarm list follows ISA-18.2. We found none in the other products' documentation. The feed sources come with sgcWebSockets in the Registered edition, see the LiveFeed demo.
One API from Delphi 7 to .NET 10
The same class names, property names and layout JSON in Delphi (VCL and FireMonkey, Delphi 7 to 13) and in .NET (WinForms, WPF and Avalonia, up to .NET 10). A team with both code bases learns one grid. See Platforms.
Server mode with published figures
TsgcGridServerProvider_DataSet pages, sorts, filters and groups a database table with SQL for 8 dialects, so the grid reads only the pages on screen. The benchmarks give the figures on tables of 1,000,000 and 10,000,000 rows, with the harness to repeat them. See Server Mode.
Excel mode in the grid
Cell formulas with 211 functions, a fill handle and a workbook of several sheets, in the grid itself. In the table above, the other products show Partial or Not documented for this row. See Excel Mode.
AI that keeps your data private
TsgcGridAI turns a question in plain language into filters, sorts and row highlights. Only the field catalog goes to the model, the column names, captions, types and a few sample values, never the rows. With no provider assigned, a local parser answers with no network and no API key. See Ask Your Grid.
Accessibility beyond Windows
On Windows the grid exposes a real table to UI Automation and MSAA, tested with Narrator and NVDA. FireMonkey maps the same table, row and cell roles to the native accessibility of macOS, iOS and Android; those hosts are built and their device tests are pending. See Accessibility.
METHOD
How we compared
What we read
For each product we read the vendor's public product pages and documentation in November 2026 and recorded what they state. Yes means the documentation shows the capability. Partial means it shows a limited form, which the cell describes in a few words.
What Not documented means
Not documented means the vendor documentation we checked does not list the capability. It does not say the product lacks it: it may exist under another name, in a separate control or on a page we did not read.
Corrections welcome
If a cell is wrong, or a product documents something we missed, contact us with the link to the vendor page and we will update this page.
