FeatureDetails
Typing as in ExcelA text that starts with = is a formula. Numbers, percentages such as 15%, dates, TRUE and FALSE are converted as Excel does, with the separators of the current locale. Anything else is text.
Forced textA leading apostrophe stores the input as text: '=1+1, '007 and 'TRUE stay texts. The flag is kept through copy and paste, undo and XLSX files.
Formula bar and name boxTsgcVCLSpreadsheetFormulaBar and TsgcFMXSpreadsheetFormulaBar show the formula of the active cell. The name box shows the address of the selection and goes to an address such as D20 or Sheet2!A1.
KeyboardF2 edits a cell, Enter, Tab and their Shift variants move, Ctrl+Enter writes and stays, Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y undo and redo.
ClipboardCopy writes tab separated text with the formulas, quoted as Excel does, so it pastes into Excel and back. A single value pasted over a selection fills every selected cell.
Spreadsheet APISetCellInput writes a cell as if it was typed, CellText and CellFormula read it, GoToAddress selects a cell or a range. Rows and columns are 0-based.

Formulas and Recalculation

FeatureDetails
Formula engineThe parser, the evaluator and the functions are part of sgcUICore, so sgcGrid formulas give the same results.
Dependency graphThe engine knows which cells read which, and a change recalculates only the cells that depend on it.
Dynamic arraysA formula that returns an array spills into the cells next to it. A blocked spill range gives #SPILL!, and A1# refers to the whole spilled range.
Defined namesNames for ranges, constants and formulas, such as =SUM(Sales)*(1+Rate), with workbook or sheet scope.
References to other sheets=Sheet2!A1 and =SUM('Sales 2026'!B:B). A renamed sheet is renamed in every formula that refers to it.
Custom functionsFunctions registered by your application with sgcCalcRegisterFunction work in every formula like a built in function.

Workbooks and XLSX Files

FeatureDetails
Several sheetsTabs under the grid switch the sheet and the + tab adds one. AddSheet, ActiveSheet and SheetCount from code.
Frozen panesFreezePanes keeps the first rows and columns in place while the rest of the sheet scrolls. UnfreezePanes removes them.
XLSX loadLoadFromXLSX reads every sheet of a workbook with its formulas, formats, defined names, dynamic arrays, column widths, frozen panes and charts.
XLSX saveSaveToXLSX writes every sheet with values, formulas, cell formats, column widths, frozen panes and charts, in a file that Excel opens.
StreamsLoad and save XLSX from a file or a stream.

Charts

FeatureDetails
Charts from cell rangesAddChart adds a chart of a range such as 'A1:D10' or 'Sheet1!A1:D10'. The chart reads the computed values of the cells.
7 chart typesColumn, bar, line, area, pie, doughnut and scatter, drawn by sgcCharts.
Live updateWhen a cell of the range changes, or a formula of the range gives a new value, the chart is built again.
Move and resizeCharts float over the sheet, like charts in Excel, and users move and resize them with the mouse.
Charts in XLSXCharts are saved to XLSX as charts that Excel opens, and loaded back with the workbook.
