Migrate to sgcUI

Moving a desktop application off a grid, a report engine or a PDF library that no longer fits, or taking a .NET screen to Avalonia? sgcUI is one engine of native UI components for VCL and FireMonkey in Delphi 7 to 13 and C++Builder, and for WinForms, WPF and Avalonia in .NET. Each kit below maps what you use today to its sgcUI twin, shows code cut from a demo that compiles, and lists honestly what does not map.

Pick Your Starting Point

Every kit has the same parts: who it is for, a member by member mapping, before and after code, numbered migration steps, the known differences and a ready to run demo.

TDBGrid and cxGrid

Delphi VCL. Map each TDBGrid and DevExpress cxGrid member you use to TsgcVCLGrid, the sgcGrid control that binds to any TDataSet and brings grouping, summaries, filtering, a find panel, bands and saved layouts to every edition.

QuickReport

Delphi VCL. Map the QuickReport bands and controls to TsgcReport and TsgcReportEngine, show the pages with TsgcReportPreviewVCL and export tagged PDF/UA with sgcReports.

Quick PDF Library and PdfiumViewer

Delphi and WinForms. Foxit sunset Quick PDF Library on 13 December 2021, and the PdfiumViewer repository was archived in 2019. sgcPDF is pure Pascal in Delphi and managed C# in .NET, with no PDF DLL to ship, and it creates, edits, fills and renders PDF files.

WinForms and WPF to Avalonia

.NET. The sgcUI controls for WinForms, WPF and Avalonia share one model per product, so moving a screen to Avalonia, and with it to macOS and Linux, changes the window code and the control types, not the screen logic.

Avalonia Pro users

.NET Avalonia. Avalonia retired the Accelerate brand on 7 April 2026. sgcUI controls run inside an Avalonia 12 app next to FluentTheme: a scheduler, Kanban board, pivot grid, diagram and dashboard not listed in Avalonia Pro, and another licence model for grid, charts, PDF viewer and rich text.

One Engine, Five UI Frameworks

The same products, the same class names and the same theme in Delphi and in .NET.

VCL, FireMonkey, WinForms, WPF and Avalonia

Grid, pivot grid, charts, dashboard, gauges, planner, diagram, maps, PDF, reports and rich text come as native controls for each framework, built on one shared model per product.

Delphi 7 to 13 and C++Builder

The Delphi components support every compiler from Delphi 7 to Delphi 13 and C++Builder, so a migration does not force an IDE upgrade first.

Code that compiles

The code on every kit page is cut from a demo that ships with sgcUI and compiles, so the excerpt you read is the code you run.
