sgcUI sgcEditors is available right now

sgcEditors. Fifteen inputs. Same everywhere.

A calendar with real booking rules, date and time pickers, a range slider, a colour picker, chips, stars and a spin edit. Type a date in your own language, switch to the dark theme with one property and bind the editors to a dataset. For Delphi, C++ Builder and .NET, with source code included.

  • VCL
  • FireMonkey
  • WinForms
  • WPF
  • Avalonia
  • Delphi 7 to 13
  • 9input controls in one family, with one theme and one keyboard model
  • 5UI frameworks: VCL, FireMonkey, WinForms, WPF, Avalonia
  • 10data aware editors that bind to a TDataSet field
  • 5languages the Calendar demo switches between at run time

Inputs your forms deserve.

Dates, ranges, colours and tags that are quick to enter and hard to get wrong. sgcEditors covers the fields of real business forms, on every framework.

  • Fifteen inputs

Calendar, pickers, range slider, colour, tokens, rating, spin, button, search, masked, currency and lookup edits, memo.

  • Real text entry

Native edits inside, so IME, clipboard, undo and screen readers just work.

  • Data aware

Ten DB editors for TDataSet forms in Delphi, two way binding in WPF.

  • Themed and sharp

Light and dark themes, per monitor DPI and a locale per control.

See it run.

Month calendar in range mode with a 14 day limit, weekends and holidays struck through and ISO week numbers
The controls

A calendar that follows real booking rules.

  • SelectionMode picks one date or a range of days, and MaxRangeDays caps how long the range may be.
  • Days outside MinDate and MaxDate, DisabledDates, DisabledWeekDays and any day OnIsDateDisabled refuses are struck through and cannot be picked.
  • The same calendar drives the drop down of the date pickers, so the rules apply wherever a date is chosen.
Month calendar under keyboard focus: a range of days selected, disabled days struck through and a focus ring on the current day
Typing and keyboard

Real typing, not just clicking.

  • Every text field is a real edit of the platform, so IME composition, the clipboard, undo, the context menu and screen readers all work.
  • Lenient parsing: slashes, hyphens, dots, colons, commas or spaces separate the fields, and the month and day names of the locale are understood.
  • No function needs a mouse: F4 or Alt+Down opens every drop down, and the calendar arrows skip disabled days.
Four month calendars on one form in English, German, Spanish and French, each with its own week start and day names
Language

Each control speaks the user's language.

  • Each control has its own FormatSettings, so two controls on one form can even use two locales.
  • FirstDayOfWeek and WeekNumbering follow the locale or your rule, with ISO 8601 week numbers by default.
  • Right to left for Arabic and Hebrew: buttons move to the other side, and sliders, ratings and the calendar run from the right.
The ten data aware editors bound to a TClientDataSet next to a TDBGrid and a TDBNavigator
Data aware

Bind the editors straight to your datasets.

  • Ten data aware controls bind to a field through DataSource and DataField: date picker, time picker, spin edit, rating, range slider, button edit, masked edit, currency edit, memo and lookup edit.
  • The range slider binds its second thumb through EndDataField, and null fields show empty when AllowEmpty is on.
  • TsgcEditorFieldLink uses only the DB unit, so the FireMonkey versions need no LiveBindings. In WPF the value properties bind two way.

A feedback form in a few lines.

A rating, a range slider and a token edit, all reporting through OnChange. The same API in Delphi, C++ Builder and C#.
