sgcUI sgcPDF is available right now

sgcPDF. Pure Pascal PDF. No DLL to deploy.

Create, edit, view, render, extract, encrypt, sign, redact and validate PDF files with components written entirely in Object Pascal. The parser, writer, fonts, image decoders, renderers and cryptography are compiled into your application, with source code included.

  • VCL
  • FireMonkey
  • .NET
  • Linux, macOS, mobile
  • Delphi 7 to 13
  • C++ Builder
The sgcPDF VCL viewer control showing a three page sales report with page thumbnails, zoom, search, printing and annotation tools
  • 19palette components: document, editor, viewers, extractors, signing
  • 0DLLs to deploy: parser, renderer, fonts and crypto in Pascal
  • 5operating systems: Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android
  • 8PDF/A conformance levels, plus PDF/UA-1 and PDF/UA-2

One library for every step of a PDF.

From the first page you write to the signed, archived and redacted file you hand over, every step runs in the same Object Pascal code base.

  • Nothing to install

No PDFium, Ghostscript or COM server. Your executable is the whole deployment.

  • Runs where your code runs

The core units have no VCL or FMX dependency: console tools, services, Linux daemons, web servers.

  • Secure and sign

AES-256 encryption, signatures with visible fields, PAdES through sgcSign and true redaction.

  • Archive and comply

    PDF/A-1, 2, 3 and 4 with a validator, tagged PDF, PDF/UA-1 and PDF/UA-2, and Factur-X invoices.

See it work.

An HTML page with CSS on the left and the paginated PDF that TsgcPDFHTMLRenderer produced from it on the right
Create

Documents from code, HTML or a canvas.

  • TsgcPDFDocument writes pages, text, images, vector graphics, tables that flow across pages, barcodes and QR codes.
  • TrueType and OpenType fonts are embedded and subset automatically, so the text can be copied and searched.
  • TsgcPDFHTMLRenderer turns HTML with CSS into paginated PDF, TsgcPDFCanvas and EMF playback convert existing drawing code.
View and render

A viewer in your application, a renderer on your server.

  • TsgcPDFViewerControl scrolls, zooms, searches with highlight, selects text, fills form fields and prints.
  • TsgcPDFViewerFMX draws through the FireMonkey canvas on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, with marquee zoom.
  • In .NET, the viewer controls run in WinForms, WPF and Avalonia.
  • TsgcPDFRendererRaster renders pages to PNG in pure Pascal, with no GDI, on Windows and Linux.
An invoice before and after TsgcPDFRedactor: the customer name and address are removed and marked REDACTED
Secure and sign

Encrypt, sign and redact for real.

  • RC4, AES-128 and AES-256 password encryption, and certificate encryption.
  • Digital signatures with visible fields and timestamps, plus PAdES B-B to B-LTA through the optional sgcSign bridge.
  • TsgcPDFRedactor removes text at glyph level, image pixels and paths, so the removed text cannot be extracted.
A tagged, accessible PDF next to the PDFTagged demo output, where TsgcPDFAValidator reports that validation passed
Comply

Files that pass archive and accessibility checks.

  • PDF/A-1, PDF/A-2 and PDF/A-3 output at levels a and b, and PDF/A-4 and PDF/A-4f, checked by TsgcPDFAValidator.
  • Tagged PDF with a structure tree and alternate text, and PDF/UA-1 and PDF/UA-2 output with checks in the validator.
  • Factur-X, ZUGFeRD and XRechnung e-invoice embedding as PDF/A-3 attachments.
